What is Won der Art?
«Wonder» can be a noun or it can be a verb. This word has several meanings, it all depends on the turn of phrase. The verb «wonder» means to be surprised, to ask yourself a question, to reflect, to make doubt, to guess, to be curious, to be interested. Noun «wonder» means a surprise, an amazement and, in a word, a miracle, something impossible, amazing and incredible. And each of the word meanings is suitable for describing the emotions that arise both in those who see these works for the first time, and in the authors themselves. «Art» can be translated as a mastery, a skill or even a ruse. Creating paintings, we definitely do not feel like artists. No, we are like conductors or a physical component of the process that helps the paint to merge with the canvas and transfer the energy of space.
Whenever we finish a new creation, we feel these very same emotions – astonishment, sense of miracle, amazement – and questioning: «What could that mean?». This is the creatively fascinating process of transforming emotional energy into a form. What makes these works unique? They cannot be duplicated or copied. They are filled with energy, they have their own unique meaning, their message, which everyone reads in his own way, sees something special, definitely not remaining indifferent.
Won der Art is an amazing art, a finesse of amazement, a curious ruse.
We believe that everyone will find something of his own here.
Who are the Won der Art?
The answer is in the first letter of the project name. W – creative association, union of two women, two Valeris. Two opposites: mathematician and psychologist, blonde and brunette, dynamics and statics, courage and wariness, impulsiveness and arbitrariness, impetuosity and regularity, suddenness and consistency.
Unifying these contrasts allowed us to complement and form the entire – to transform energy, splash it out in a bright creative project. Having a philosophical worldview, both Valeris were able to keep curiosity and ingenuousness, the ability to feel and live in the flow of «here and now».
Complementing each other, they create balance and harmony – exactly like this, in mutual permeation, two sides of the same action give birth to a creation.
